Optical fiber node is located near the distribution hub and automatically provides RF levels that are compatible with the operation of the distribution hub in both inbound and outbound directions. Two-way transmission on a single fiber is achieved by using 1550nm DFB laser with optical isolator for outbound signaling, and 1310nm DFB laser with optical isolator for inbound signals. Internal wave-division-multiplexors are used to combine the Tx/Rx optical devices at both ends of the link, allowing easy connection via a single SC-APC connector.
Standard F connector CATV coax input and cascade output
Fiber interfaces with SC-APC optical connectors
Up to 10km single-mode fiber
Link path loss budget compliant with automatic level control system parameters for the TE connectivity system.
