Accessories to the d3 media server range, d3 Technologies’ Video Format Conversion (VFC) cards allow you to change the video output signal on your server quickly and easily. d3’s user configurable VFC cards enable users to drive up to 16HD outputs as DVI from a single d3 4×4pro system. Large, multi-projector shows can be delivered with fewer machines, no downstream splitters, and practically no latency.
VFC output cards are an industry first: no other media server on the market offers the ability to gracefully transition from HD to 4K, as 4K proliferates.
The d3 4×4pro ships with four DisplayPort 1.2 pass-through outputs as standard, giving you 4×4K outputs plus an extra output for your GUI. Max resolution 4096×2160 @60Hz per output.
Additional Quad-DVI DualLink VFC cards can be purchased giving a resolution of 1920×1200 @60Hz from each of the 4 outputs or 2560×1600 @60Hz from 2 of the 4 outputs in Dual mode.
The latest VFC cards, Quad-3G-SDI allow a max resolution of 2048×1080 @60Hz from each of the 4 outputs. Mix and match cards as your productions demand it.
